Camera Ready Glam. vs. Everyday Makeup

Many clients are often taken aback when they see their transformation from bare face to Bombshell on the day of their boudoir session. It’s not because they’re unfamiliar with wearing makeup - many of our clients wear glam looks every day, even when they’re not getting ready for a photo shoot! However, there’s a noticeable difference when it comes to camera-ready makeup for a boudoir session. Let’s first take a moment to break down the distinction between the two.

Your Everyday Makeup

Your everyday makeup is probably the look you wear most often – a natural, understated style that subtly enhances your features without being too bold. This type of makeup is ideal for daily activities like running errands, going to work, or spending time with friends. Maybe your everyday makeup is full glam. You would be good to go then! However, I will always recommend professional hair and makeup. Nobody does it like the pros. They’re here for a reason!

Camera-Ready Makeup

Camera-ready makeup, on the other hand, is specifically designed for photography. It’s bolder and more dramatic, created to highlight your features and ensure they look their best in photos. This typically involves more defined contouring, accentuated eyes, and a striking lip color.

While your everyday makeup routine is likely more natural and subtle for daily wear, camera-ready makeup is tailored to keep your features sharp under studio lights and maintain its flawless look throughout all the poses and outfit changes.

It’s always your choice!

At the end of the day, the choice between camera-ready makeup or sticking with your everyday glam is entirely up to you and what makes you feel most confident. Our goal is to ensure you feel comfortable and beautiful during your boudoir session, so don’t hesitate to share your preferences with our makeup artist.
