Boudoir photography is all about celebrating the beauty and sensuality of the human form. But, let’s face it, for too long it’s been focused on a very specific idea of what’s “beautiful”. Usually thin and conventionally attractive bodies. That leaves out so many of us who don’t fit into those narrow standards, and that needs to change. As your boudoir photographer, it’s my top priority to embrace diversity in my portfolio. Here are some ways we do so at Julie Boudoir.

We pride ourselves on offering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere

Not only are we embracing diversity, but our studio is also accessible. We are on the first floor of my home. We want to truly welcome the differently-abled. The entrance door is just feet away from where your car would be parked. There are zero stairs at the entrance or inside. This makes the studio wheelchair accessible. Our studio is completely private, with 5 rooms full of sets and your own bathroom. We value our warm, comforting environment for all identities.

At Julie Boudoir, we offer a broad range of posing and wardrobe options. Designed to celebrate all shapes, ages, and skin tones, our luxury client lingerie closet is fully size-inclusive (from xs-6X). Having been a photographer for 19 years, I know exactly how to pose and highlight every body, helping you feel stunning in your skin. My client ages have ranged from 20-70+. Get in here!

Our portfolio is full of a wide-range of clients, showcasing different body types, ages, and skin tones. We feel passionate about upholding our safe, welcoming space and we are fully committed to inclusivity. You might be thinking, “Julie, why don’t I see … in your portfolio?” I’ll let you in on a secret, while we work with and empower all types of women daily, one of our core values respecting privacy. Every client you see online gives us permission to share their photos. While we hold copyright, it will always be your choice how and where your images are shared, and you can always go anonymous. We want you to feel in control of your own experience!
